Best Image From London

This is my best image from London. I sat through all my images looking at the composition and lighting and other elements of the image and created a small short list of possible images. However, I chose this one as being thee best. The subject of the photo is positioned directly in the middle of the image and the surroundings also played a decisive role as to why I liked this image so much. The contrast between the dark red and orange brick wall and the pale cream planks of the other wall make the background interesting and make the dark subject stand out. Also, I think there is a very clever, if not humours undertone to the image. Presented is this 200k modern wonder of a machine, Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera Edizione Tecnica and the background it is set in is very traditional and historical. The old style gas lamp above the car and the large wooden door, paired with the bicycle add a sense of humour. The bicycle especially as the contrast of the two machines is so massive. Furthermore, the darkness of the car makes it really contrast the background which would draw the viewers eye immediately toward the subject. This is also helped by the lines on the road and the pole leading the eye, again, toward the subject.
