Throughout the day, I took a number of photos and these then generated many different ideas for my 10 hour piece.
I created a contact sheet for all of my photos from my day and then sat through and looked at which images could possibly be made into a final piece.

A number of images stood out for me and I felt as though they were good enough to be taken forward into my short list of pieces that I could further manipulate and use as my final 10 hour piece.
I chose the following images as my best from the event. However, for my experimentation I am going to use the bottom two images as I feel as though they are the best thought out images and artistically, they would allow me for the best results when the images are later manipulated. I also feel that in terms of their composition they are the best thought out images. As well as looking natural, they both follow the rule of thirds and the subject of the image is positioned directly on the intersections of the imaginary grid. This allows for the photo to be aesthetically pleasing and will capture the eye of the viewer, drawing them to the subject.
My first idea involved the last photo (White Koenigsegg Agera positioned left to right) My initial idea with this photo was to completely cut the car out of the photo and place it into a plain white page. With my newly acquired Adobe Illustrator skills, I planned to draw over the body of the car and make it look like it was in a wind tunnel as such, showing off the sleekness of the cars body and design.
To start this idea, I placed the image into Adobe Photoshop and started to cut the car out of the image using a mixture of the eraser and the pen tool. I used the eraser to remove the majority of the background and then drew around the body of the car with the pen tool, which allowed me to create smooth curves which followed the body work of the car.
After nearing completion on this idea, I realised that it would look rather tacky due to the fact that looking through the window there is still the remains of the outside world. I would be able to remove this but then the car could have no interior and I could not photoshop fake glass in as the car has rain on it and the textures would be all wrong and the image would look pretty shocking. As this idea is now out of the window I need to look to working on my second image...
